By registering for and using Secret Match ("the platform"), you agree to the following terms.

You must be at least 18 years old to register for or use Secret Match. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement. You may register only one account per person.

You agree to provide accurate, current information about yourself. Impersonating another person, creating a fake profile, or misrepresenting your age, identity, or intentions is a violation of these Terms and may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other members
• Use the platform for solicitation, advertising, or any commercial purpose unrelated to genuine personal connection
• Share illegal, sexually explicit involving minors, or otherwise unlawful content
• Attempt to circumvent the matching or contact request system (e.g. by soliciting contact information outside the platform's designed flow before a request has been accepted)
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the platform
• Attempt to access another member's account or personal information without authorisation

Violation of any of the above may result in suspension or permanent termination of your account, at our discretion, without refund of any remaining credit balance.

Secret Match uses an automated process to compare your stated preferences against other members' profiles. Matching is based on the preferences and information you provide — we do not guarantee that any match will be found, that a match will be someone you're interested in, or that any specific outcome will result from a match, contact request, or connection made through the platform.

A match does not create contact or communication between members. Contact is only established when one member sends a contact request and the other member actively accepts it. Declining a request is always available with no penalty, and no reason needs to be given. Contact requests expire automatically if not responded to within the stated time window, and any credit charged is refunded automatically upon decline or expiry.

• Credits are used to send contact requests and, where applicable, to unlock additional profile information.
• Credits are purchased via EFT or Capitec PayMe. Payment confirmation is manual — after payment, credits are added to your account once the transfer has been verified, which may take some time during business hours.
• Pricing (cost per credit, cost per contact request, and any other credit-based fees) may change at any time. The current pricing is always shown on the Load Credits page at the time of purchase.
• Credits charged for a contact request are automatically refunded if the request is declined or expires without a response.
• Except where stated above, credits are non-refundable once spent.
• We are not responsible for delays in payment verification caused by your bank, Capitec PayMe, or incorrect payment references.

Secret Match relies on WhatsApp, a third-party service operated by Meta, to deliver notifications and enable direct communication between connected members. We are not responsible for any interruption, delay, or failure of WhatsApp's service, nor for any changes WhatsApp makes to its own terms of service that may affect your ability to use Secret Match.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account, at our sole discretion, for violation of these Terms, suspected fraudulent activity, or conduct that we reasonably believe puts other members at risk. Where an account is terminated for cause, remaining credits are forfeited.

You may delete your own account at any time via the Delete Account option in your Dashboard.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Secret Match, its operator, and any associated parties are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to damages arising from contact or interactions with other members, whether online or in person.

All content on the Secret Match platform, excluding user-submitted profile content, is the property of Secret Match. You retain ownership of the content you submit (photos, bio, etc.) but grant us a licence to display it to matched members as necessary for the platform to function.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the platform will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
